I'm afraid Mickey Gee didnt play the solo on the Shakin Stevens version, altho' listed as a musician on the This Ole house album in 1980, the lead solo was played by Albert Lee, Mickey Gee probably played it when touring with Shaky, but not on the album.

The Blasters version is still the strongest, most energetic rendition, and NOBODY who's covered it has anywhere near as strong an opening for the song as do those who originated it over 30 years ago - the Alvin brothers!
