I didn't discover Mastodon till right before Crack the Skye came out (Blood Mountain was my first and probably favorite). They have become my favorite band, and I love the how they have evolved. I have only recently started listening to the Lifesblood/ Call of the Mastodon stuff. They are so interesting as a band, I love this stuff; as well as The Hunter and Once More Round the Sun. Every new album is a surprise, and fucking EPIC.
