Why shouldn't Mastodon cover a song by a band they like? I doubt Mastodon's goal is to milk money out of this song, all they want to do is rock!!! And share the awesomeness of other bands great music. By cover this song they are actually broadening the musical horizon of folks and kids who've never heard of Thin Lizzy.
