He was our choir director when I was a child....my mother played the piano for him and his wife, Betty played the organ....I remember many a long hard night on the pews while choir practice was going on...but we had some fantastic music at church....my mom wants this song played at her funeral....she is sick now and it is really hitting me hard....GOD BLESS!!

I Love the song, but if you sing it... you need to change the words to "then down from Heaven, came Jesus my Savior, to save a poor lost soul like me" BECAUSE... they didn't search through Heaven, and just find some dude named Jesus that was good enough! He was God In the flesh... not some created being! :) Words have meaning!

I've seen Ernie Hass and Signature Sound twice sing this song at Gatlinburg's Convention Center during Memorial Day weekend but no one-no one will ever sing it like Rosie. I wished I had heard him in person.
