i love this ending and the theme, i love the fact that shepard become some sort of a supreme vanguard of all life and the fact that it is not a naive ending, like destroying the sythetic life of now, so that the sythetic life of the future get its chance to rebel, or the synthesis ending, changing everyone against their will to implant them with foreign technology.

I wouldnt trust anyone with controlling the reapers, not even shepard. and the fact that this track is so ominous is why.

"I have no beginning. I have no end. I am infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, I will endure. I am eternal. The pinnacle of evolution and existence. To me, you are nothing. I impose order on the chaos of organic evolution. You exist because I allow it. Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding that i'm The Reaper Commander Shepard, and i'm The Fucking Galactic Boss."

This is my ending. Only sensible one in my opinion. Destroy leaves the universe too damaged and open for future conflict (Geth, Krogan, Rachni) and synthesis is something no one person should decide. But sacrifice yourself to protect a galaxy for all time as an all powerful AI? Oh yeah, apotheosis it is then.

Her desire to NOT play God is what made Control the only sensible choice. Every time.

I come here to listen to a simple song, and I see people STILL arguing about Mass Effect 3's ending.

While this isn't my favorite choice for the story, for the sake of making a sequel I think this is clearly the best choice. No one dies, Shepard appears to still be alive in some capacity, and the galaxy remains largely in the same state as it was when we started the story. So if we were to get anything post ME3, this should be the canon ending. Not to mention that it seems to be the least preferred choice compared to the others so doing so would not alienate just one or the other of the larger ending choice camps.

Hey, I picked this ending because everybody lives RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW. Everyone is ALIVE. And I stand by it.

Check your memory you lazy punk: Udina: Is that the KIND of person we want protecting the galaxy? Anderson: That's the only KIND of person who can protect the galaxy.

Those who don't want to become a Reaper. That's the answer.

synthesis, who would not want to become immortal and gain access to all the knowledge reapers possess???

Not to mention that all those countless husks their variations might have become sentient in the synthesis ending. Can you imagine what they're going through in their new forms? Almost all of them would go insane and have to be euthanized.
