Mary Travers talks about her illness to audience - June 10, 2007 (please forgive the poor audio. This is being presented as a "historic document" only). Hear Ms. Travers being upbeat, funny, confident and saucy describing her experience with stem cell transplant therapy.

I still cry when I think of the lovely songs that Mary never had time and strength to sing..."Follow Me" still makes me remember the wonder that was Mary Travers.

Thank you Bill and Roxanne Mills. What a beautiful lady Mary was. She lives in my heart every time I sing her part of the harmony...I never get tired of it.

This has NOTHING to do with politics!! I would guess that my politics were different than Mary's. But I loved her. Such a beautiful lady in all ways!

Thank you for this video. I had the privilege of seeing Peter, Paul, and Mary in concert at the Universal Theaters in Hollywood and at a Playhouse in La Mirada, CA - I feel honored that I got to see them twice in concert. I have all of their albums and played the Wedding Song at my first wedding in 2006. I also have Mary's solo album. When I leave this earth one day I hope to see Mary and Peter and Paul and thank them for the years of music they have left for this world and for me.

Thank you for sharing this about the most wonderful folk singer ever, fortunately for coming generations, Peter Paul and Mary are so thoroughly recorded in the various stages of their lives that they will be a positive inspiration for millions of people yet to come.

She had a sense of humor, even in describing her illness. I cried as I listened and laughed, too. Rest in Peace, Mary, and thank you so very much for all you've done for all of us. And thank you, +Bill Mills for uploading this. You're just as precious as Mary is.

RIP Mary. Just linked through to you from seeing you perform with the (still) gorgeous and extremely talented Engelbert (Humperdinck) when you, Mary, sang a duet with Enge, Leavin On a Jet Plane. We all get older but as Bill says your audience get older too and we all love the truly greats of which there are sadly too few. See you in Heaven I hope. X

Such strength! An amazing lady. I grew to know Peter, Paul and Mary through my dad's passion for their music. Not just the music.. The lyrics are remembered and revered by all who heard them. Thank you, Peter, Paul and Mary for the joy that you created with your musical talents and the peacefulness that we feel listening to you. In love and peace, Angie

Yes, bless Mary Travers and bless Arlo Guthrie too. Your comment made me remember a story I heard him tell in concert last month. He said Pete Seeger, at 84, called to tell him he couldn't do the big tours & shows with him anymore. Pete said "I can't play the banjo like I used to, I can't sing the way I used to, so I really should bow out". Arlo replied "Pete, have you looked at our audiences? They don't hear they way they used to!" Pete is 94 now and still performing. ;-) These are my heros!
