Walking all the day, near tall towers where falcons build their nests

Siver winged they fly, they know the call of freedom in their breasts

Soar Black Head against the sky, between the rocks that run down to the sea

Living on your western shore, saw summer sunsets, asked for more

I stood by your Atlantic sea, and sang a song for Ireland

Talking all the day with true friends, who try to make you stay

Telling jokes and news, singing songs to pass the night away

Watched the Galway salmon run like silver dancing darting in the sun

Living on your western shore saw summer sunsets, asked for more

I stood by your Atlantic sea, and sang a song for Ireland

Drinking all the day in old pubs, where fiddlers love to play

Someone touched the bow, he played a reel, it seemed so fine and gay

Stood on Dingle beach and cast - in wild foam we found Atlantic Bass

Living on your western shore, saw summer sunsets asked for more

I stood by your Atlantic sea, and sang a song for Ireland

Dreaming in the night, I saw a land where no man had to fight

Waking in your dawn, I saw you crying in the morning light

Lying where the Falcons fly, they twist and turn all in you e'er blue sky

Living on your western shore, saw summer sunsets asked for more

I stood by your Atlantic sea, and I sang a song for Ireland

ill give Mary Black tons of credit for singing this song, this is sung to pristine levels by Mary Black - But it takes the National Skald of Ireland to sing this right - RIP Luke Kelly.

No one does this song better than Mary. Reminds me of my pals in Cork and Kerry; playing soccer on the Atlantic shore; pub crawling; wedding dancing; having fun and laughing for 36 straight hours!

I had the great honor of meeting Mary last October here in the United States at the Birchmere in Virginia. I want to tell all of you from Ireland how much we love Mary in the United States and how grateful we are that you have shared her with us. Meeting Mary in person, I learned how warm and kind she is - completely gracious and unaffected by her fame and success. And the voice is as pure and lovely as it ever has been! Thank you, Ireland, for your beautiful music and your beautiful Mary!

So many people think this is Andrea Corr from the Corrs and not Mary Black who sang this song.Such a beautiful song.

Thank you! to both my Irish Brother and friend Michael Kelly, and to Miss Mary Sullivan Frasier for your kind comments and for the St. Pat's Day wishes Michael. I hope you both had a great St. Pat's Day yesterday. It's great to be Irish every day, not just on St. Pat's! Blessings to you both!

Remember my friends, we fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Many times in the History of mankind a man or a woman has stepped forward and tried to make things better for his or her fellow man. Opposition soon followed, and many sacrificed even their very lives for the beliefs they held. Mankind desires FREEDOM not OPPRESSION, I can't understand why we can hate each other because of our skin color, our nationality, or our religious beliefs. There is ultimate TRUTH, and there are gray areas that lie somewhere in between truth and a lie. None of us can say with complete certainty that we know all that transpires in the physical or spiritual realms that bring an end to the life of someone such as a Michael Collins, or a Martin Luther King, or a John F. Kennedy. There are those in life who desire strife, and there are those who desire peace, both come with a price. The price for strife is war, and the innocents pay the highest price not the selfish ones who create the strife that brings about the war. The price for peace is also high, innocents too pay the price here, but they pay it willingly to better the condition of their fellow man in unselfish sacrifice. Now can we steer away from political views and just enjoy good music! PEACE my friends, from your Irish brother.
