Isn't this Tamla Records #54001 or -02...the first Motown-family single ever?

I think Mary Wells has a better version of this: much more intense.

Loved this song since 1958. 6 yrs later it helped me discover Otis Redding, who became my favorite singer when I heard HIS Come to Me (different song). The PD at my local top 40 station didn't play "heavy soul" but knew I loved R&B; let me go thru non-playlist records, sample any unknowns & take what I wanted. I saw Come to Me by Otis (I'd never heard of him), was curious & played it. Blew me away. Johnny Mathis also had a Come to Me. If not for Marv & Johnny, I might not have heard Otis till 67

@nomiclas I'm a student at a popmusic academy in The Netherlands. I have articles about pop history from our teacher, journalist Bert van de Kamp, and I wrote an essay about Motown, but it's all in Dutch :).
