i am making a tech death album ad i want to write some tech/cyber/sci fi metal music like this.does any1 have any suggestion on scales , Tempo , time signatures becasue so far it sounds like norma l Metal .

I love the instrumentals to this a lot. Not the biggest fan of the vocals though. A lot of this reminds me of Death kind of, with a highly fusion progressive style to it. Pretty sick overall.

I just realised how the riff from 1:19 to 1:25 sounds almost identical to the pre-chorus riff from "Ascendancy" by Trivium. Through a quick Wikipedia search, I found out that Matt Heafy (rhythm guitarist in Trivium) and Dan Mongrain both play(ed) in Carphanaum. I think it's kinda cool that you can hear musicians being influenced by each other :)
