The African-American gospel Staples Singers were anchored instrumentally by the Fender guitar sound with heavy vibrato played their patriarch, Roebuck "Pops" Staples. When Pops passed on, he gave Marty Stuart a couple his priceless Fender guitars. This Telecaster is one of them. All I know is that Pops and Marty were great friends, and that half the guitar players in America would love to have one of Pops' guitars.12 years ago
