love friedman's melodic talent. can't say his picking is, imo very good. very unorthodoxed and kinda crimps his ability to truelly shred and add variety of picking sounds to add to his melodic sense. however, he's still one of my favs.

I dunno why people bother to compare guitar playing masters to one another, Fuck off and go learn yourself then maybe you will have some room to say something when you're on their level. Music is soul and heart, can't measure that based on "your opinion"

Marty is a guitarist who plays with more melody and feeling then technicality. His playing is very fluint. This is improvised. Which most of his solos are. His sense of melody is amazing. He just follows the chord progression. And I love Hendrix but later down the line it was said that Hendrix did know music theory. Regardless you can't compare to the original but this comes close.
