Hot damn. They're coming up to play a gig for a friend's Bike Fest/week in a little place outside south of D.C.Colonial Beach, Virginia. This little restaurant started hosting small get-togethers for families to see and spend time with their injured soldiers directly after they are shipped into Walter Reed Medical Center, returning from A.O.'s across the globe. All free of charge and we escort the families and Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and even Coasties. Last year we surprised them with over 200+ bikes and even motor cops as soon as they left the facility. Every Fire Department, EMS, and Law Enforcement lined every intersection of the route through MD-D.C. But the best was seeing the community stopping everything they were doing to line the highways and scream, cry, and cheer us on as we took part in our mission.....Ever helped a person who had their leg blown off feel the water for the first time? Or touch a sandy beach that wasn't in a war zone? We did that day. And will never. Ever. Forget it....God Bless the men and women who have born the battle including my husband and father in law, and those of our nation who support them....Even after "supporting the troops" goes out of style and loses its popularity with the bastards who do it cause it's cool to say........
