Damn.. Sounds really, really good man!...and here I thought from years back trying a DSL100 that the TSL was an "AC/DC-style" amp with no decent Hi-gain.Unless you have modified it (?) I missed out since I got the JCM900 SL-X instead!

Bought it recently and can't get near your tone... The gain on lead and crunch channels adds a very uncomfortable hiss and muddiness to the tone and I can't get rid of it... Is it the distortion pedal you're using, or my shitty pickupson my 7 string? I love the Petrucci's signature, awesome guitar :D Thanks for your answer!

Trying a TSL 100 through a koch 4x12 was, one of the worst experiences I ever had ha ha. Standard tuning, not a super high gain guitar but it sounded nothing like this. Almost no saturation unless you wanted a muddy mess. I wonder if it was a bad combo with the cabinet or pickups or even me. It sounds "ok" here (but for from good in the playthrough) but I surely understand why these can get a bad rep.

Priviet Tavarish...!!! Hahahah... Hey man, I just dicovered your videos yesterday. Great, great way to learn about equipment. Thanks for this type of visual information. I read somewhere bellow that you're using a Tube Screamer to increase gain in the TSL. I have this amp as well and sometimes I feel I need more distortion out of it. Would you seriously recommend to get the Ibanez pedal? 'cause I'm looking at it right now on eBay. Hahahah.. Keep up the excellent work and Rock On...!!!

I have acquired the same amp and can't get it to sound that evil. Perhaps the pickups in my guitar are the problem. I use a Bad Monkey with volume at 10, no gain and get close to what I am looking for. I guess your video confirms that I need to change the pickups in my SG lol.

I love that amp. I've had mine for ten years. I find it funny when somebody says they can't get enough gain from it. I guess they never really played with it much. Nice playing. What speakers are you using?
