I honestly just cant stop listening to this. It sounds so fucking good. All the Van Halen stuff sounds so beyond good. It gets my heart racing and my blood pumpin'. That's what rock n roll feels like.

My God that is the best sounding Marshall I have ever heard. You have the VH 1st album brown sound NAILED! What is the scoop on this amp? What did you start with, and what has been done to it?

amazing. I know it's been adressed that you are using the mxr flanger reissue, but is that the only pedal you stomped on in between? it seemed like there's a lot more high-end once you switch to the VH riffs, probably just a testament to how well the amp responds to a good pedal.

Recommend Tech 21's Hot Rod Plexi or the BOSS Power Stack if anyone is looking for an "imitation brown sound". If you already own a Marshall JCM-flavor, I recommend using an EQ pedal or clean booster to push your Green channel into Brown. Also, roll the Presence, EQ knobs, and Gain to 10 (adjust master volume to taste)... you want to get those tubes and the circuits working like a high-performance race car.
