The Appalachians are not only vastly important to all American music, but geographically it is key to most of the East Coast."The ancient river delta eroded from the young Appalachian Mountains around 380 million years ago of which the Catskill Mountains are a remnant of. The Appalachians worn down by erosion, are now relatively low mountains, but in the Devonian they were as high as the Himalayas are today." The Appalachian range which reaches north into Pennsylvania and New York is not only wondrous in their cradling of all American musical culture, but wondrous in how New York and the North East formed geographically. A little song by Pennsylvanian and New Yorker, Stephen Foster.

Beverly, What a lucky man your husband was to have you by his side. Even if I'm unconscious and half deaf, I would like music on my deathbed. Thank you for sharing.

This music sang my dear husband to his final rest. It was played over and over as he drew near to his final breath. It is my fervent desire that he heard and drew comfort it offered. It will remain at the top of my favorite songs of all time.Thank you, Alison and Yo-yo and Edgar and Mark.
