And i thought it was "does your dog bite" as well. but after trying to cover the song, and extensively sifting through different videos of Mark Mulcahy I found this one on Youtube /watch?v=25d18P9MkbY He adds the words "to me" at the end of "Dont you talk back", thus becoming "Don't you talk back to me" in the chorus This makes the line "Does your dog bite to me" make no sense at all.

It is "Could you settle to shoot me" the next line is, "Or have you picked your target yet", which makes perfect sense...... but, "Can you settle a sure bet" makes no sense with the preceding line, or the next one. On may, 4 1970 Ohio National Guard opened fire on unarmed protesting students killing 4 and wounding others. (this happend under Nixon's reign). One of the 4 dead students was named Sandra Scheuer. Harvey Andrews, musician, also made a song around that era called "Hey Sandy".

Could you settle to shoot me? Or have you picked your target yet?

"Can you settle to shoot me" makes no sense... "Can you settle a sure bet" on the other hand, does... Unfortunately, his voice seems to crack at the important point in the track... It is DEFINITELY "Does your dog bite", though!

Anyone know the effects Mulcahy uses on his guitar? Gotta get that 90's sound!

Just amazing music, I wish more music was this good, maybe some of it would make it's way onto the radio.

@kigster18 yeah, it is far from a known fact that the lyric is "can you settle to shoot me". That seems to be the accepted version, but a lot of people thought he said "don't you talk back" as well, which clearly isn't the case in this video. As for the meaning of the song, there is a lot of debate on that as well. I've read conflicting theories on that as well. Until i hear it from Mark himself, I have drawn my own conclusions.

That thing of the lyrics just doesn't matter. The thing is that mystic vibe that Polaris brings to all of ourselves, Mike just bring happiness yo our souls, and that is what we should enjoy. Fuckin child music. And is not a bad label. I wish i was a child.

To me in the video it sounds like the "unknown lyrics" are "I think it's how it should be"... makes way more sense and even matches better than this "settle to shoot me" crap. :)
