Pretty damn near my favourite Lanegan track. Passion, passion, passion. Played loud, loud, loud.

This song is just surreal. As someone who has trouble connecting to her emotions, this song ALWAYS pushes me into a deep, visceral part of me that I spend so much time repressing. Emoting all the feelings. Fuuuuuck. Regardless of religion, Mark is channeling some universal, emotional truths that qualify as 'divine', in my opinion. Inspired and inspiring.

@MrSlobbyjobby He does favor a religious bent in his lyrics, but that also suits the mood of his tunes well. I swear, if JW's came to my door singing "revival", I'd probably convert right there.

God created two things and two things only. Whiskey and cigarettes. He poured them down mark's throat to give people happiness. Divine voice.

This whole record was centered on a christian type sound and lyrics wise. But in real life mark isn't quite so religious. His solo stuff may give a different illusion. I lve this song because the guitars, espcially in the beginning sound like a rehash of "Strange Out Here" which is one of my all time favorites and a huge influence on my writing... The trees in general from Other Worlds to Uncle anesthesia could not be touched. Afterwords, too commercial ...
