Dudley philips, first class bass player and a true lover of music. Fitting that Mark Knopfler should use his talent along with the rest of the band, i might add.

It is so wrong! He deserves more attention than he gets.

What dreams he made for us to dreamSpanish skies, Egyptian sandsThe world was ours, we marched uponOur little Corporal's commandAnd I lost an eye at AusterlitzThe sabre slash yet gives me painMy one true love awaits me stillThe flower of the Aquitaine..

I see the drummer is using brushes. Thats what I would have used I wish I was playing with them. Once a Drummer always a Drummer. Peace & Good. Ciao Zina

Not often that I run across a great song set during the retreat of Napoleon's army from Russia. Mark Knopfler - Done With Bonaparte

I'm not so sure I like this version that much, it sounded better on the album.

I just love the smile on Mark's face at the beginning of the song when he's looking at the other guitarist. Every musician can understand this look, there's something very pure in it, something that music only may uncover. Thanks very much for sharing ! Greetings from Vendée (we don't really love Bonaparte over there...^^)
