The 90's for me was the best in country music. Mark Chestnutt was one of my favorite country artist and songs like this one really takes me back.

Mark Chestnutt and Jones duet is good. While chasing wild turkey and drinking Jim Beam.

Hey again CAROLVS. If I watched a show, any show that highlights talent, and Keith Whitley was one of the unknown contestants, or, knowing he was a new talent from a concert or the like and Nashville wouldn't sign him? I'd start a protest, or cause so much grief as to make them wish they didn't know music. I would really hope and pray that what you said wouldn't happen, however, I have to live in reality, unlike so many others these days, and have to agree that could be possible. I really enjoy the Voice for the most part. American Idol I shut off yrs ago. Why they start manipulating their shows, to showcase their political belief's, no matter how small or hidden anymore, I shut them down. That Sawyer kid I picked from day one. along with the other guy to finish 1-2, my alt tho was that 16yr old statosphereic singer with the long black hair, she was let go waaay too soon. Those 3 had the most original, complex, awesome voices on the show, with Sawyer being the best I've heard....well, probably since Keith Whitley. Presence: it's what separates the truly magnificent talent from the reg. singers. That and uniqueness of voice, @ least imo. Mark has both of those. Keith had it, few others, not a lot. Can still be mega-famous/rich, you'd just not be in their class. So many of todays artists sound EXACTLY the same in country, it really is kinda sad. All done for commercial purposes I guess, and of course, the idiot lables that say shit like women shouldn't really be on country radio lol. I mean WTF is that? Just goes to show how someone like Mark Chestnut get's passed over for soo many awards that he actually deserved, but never received. At least we can still listen to him whenever we want, and enjoy what we know in our hearts are award winning songs. Sorry this was so long, but I'm sure I'll hop back and post again soon. Take Care.

if you still can't think of anything, forget the booze, opioids and ketamine will do the trick in about 15 minutes.

Many, many years ago, a Mark Chesnutt mix tape made me start to like a girl. It never went anywhere, but still a good song.

Finished another Hot Rod and cracked open a bottle of "Old No.7" to celebrate. This song and a truck like Grandpa's takes me back..... WOW!!! Time flies. Thanks for always being at the Fire Pit and a part of the memories made there!!

Sure wish the local country radio stations played more of the late 70's through mid 1990's country, especially Mark Chesnutt's music.Way too much "soft rock" and "alternate" being masqueraded as "Country Music", these days.Even 1960's R&R artist, John Sebastion, (of Lovin' Spoonful fame), performed music closer to country than many of the so-called country artists of today.Welp, that's My .02, ie, everyone has their own thoughts and opinions!~DDZZ
