I have literally been waiting since 1995 for this moment....when the people were talking at the beginning, I was all 'shut up! Do you not realize the golden moment you're witnessing?' Thank you thank you thank you for this. Mariah sounds like she did when she first recorded it - this aspect of her voice has never left her. One of my absolute favorite songs off Daydream, and like most of the non-singles from that album, it is extremely under appreciated. Mariah's songwriting on this album was spectacular. I remember the first time I heard this song, and it was like the first glimpse we got of Mariah as a person - and I worried for her. It seemed like she was trapped, and drowning in her desire to be noticed and loved. This song is hauntingly beautiful. The melancholy I feel everytime i hear it even 20 years on, it's just devastating. ''She dreams of all that she can never be, she wades in insecurity and hides herself inside of me.'' There is such raw vulnerability in this song.

Those bitches rambling about wanting to hear "hits" and get "turnt up" need to stfu! She CHOSE to share this very personal, painful song with you. This has always been a very meaningful song to me, as well as some of her other "non hit" songs. Many of us Lambs agree that she is at her best, when her heart is fully in it. These do not sound like fans to me at all, they definitely do not appreciate true talent. Sounds like their used to some manufactured pop shows. If you need lots of blinky lights, loud beats and lip syncing to enjoy yourselves, you're clearly at the wrong show!
