The hardcore disrespect to my man Ben E. King. This is originally by Ben E. King not Aretha “trash” Franklin

First version was by Ben E King, although Aretha's take was just as marvellous, different, but marvellous.

I think her vocals were better expressed in intimate venues, stadium singing makes you get distracted by band and dancers and all, to me...

Does anyone know where this was recorded?

Mariah delivers a more than respectable performance of this great song. I like how she maintains her distinct sound whilst obviously trying to channel the great Aretha Franklin. Both performances are great in my book. Aretha has more power, to be sure. Mariah has a lighter tone, which also works great.

"An Aretha Franklin classic" ???? You ,must be kidding??? This SUX and Aretha's "classic" cover BITES. The only version worth listening to is the ORIGINAL. Maybe all y'all kiddies can figure out who sang it (and also wrote it). I'm proud to be #36 t.d. !!!! 2-27-18
