No; she's "matching" her voice to her partner's for maximum tonal enhancement - - and I think she sounds excellent; you're hearing her true voice, here, and she's "belting", not doing the usual breathy whispery voice. She's sounding like someone; can't quite place who it is; probably why she developed the 'trademark' sound - - because she wanted a more distinctively individual identity as a singer. Who is it she sounds like, here . . . ? (It's gonna bother me, now).

Love Mariah so much,but she actually ruined this song,Tony slayed at the end! This man is almost 90 and sings better than some of the 20 year old male pop singers,Mariah's voice sounds terrible

Keep in mind that she was pregnant when she recorded this, and it is quite difficult for women to sing while pregnant. She did a beautiful job considering the circumstances.

Tony and Mariah both sound flawless and their voices mix well together granted she had some trouble holding notes considering she was 5.5 months pregnant with Roc n Roe at the time
