This is one of the greatest songs ever and the best version , Johnny Mercer , Margaret Whiting ,just wonderful ,among the best singers ..I assume the people who wrote sick comments are uneducated retards born after 1980 - 1995 ?, either way their retarded and need to stop listening to crappy rap music or something ,this is so far superior

Okay. This song isn't about rape. Even the 1920's weren't as barbaric as that, believe it or not.If your explanation for rape is "say what's in this drink" then you need to think again. Sorry to tell you, but they didn't have rufies in the 1920's when they wrote this song. It was just an expression for those who wanted to make a joke about how "unaware" they were about the alcohol in their drink. If your argument is "she keeps saying no" she never says that either. Also she's not really concerned with her well being but rather what other people think. Though really it is more about how you take it, just don't take it too extreme. Remember it's just a song, and it's not nearly as gross as blurred lines.

it has nothing to do rape at all...the song was from back in the 40's and it was just about it being a man who doesnt want to spend the night alone as he loves the woman and wants her to stay with him and it was cold outside and it is an excellent song.....

It's a good song, but it is not about Christmas. It's about a couple who want to shag, but the woman is afraid others will think badly of her if she sleeps with him. Stop reading too much into this, people!

You people ruined this song. It's weird because there are so many other songs that actual have intent of womanizing women.
