Manuel and his 'Mountain musicians' (or should we say 'magicians' ) bring you this enchanting and captivating melody which inspired us to make this presentation ("Hope is where the heart is") This typically is one of those melodies where, at first, you think "hmm not bad" but the more you listen to it, the more beautiful the tune becomes.... If you want to relax for a few minutes, think this video "will do the job" :-) From the 1968 album "Mirage" here is Manuel and His Music of the Mountains with "Strange Oasis". Enjoy !

@afontin I was nearly 12 when we moved into a home with a radio built into the kitchen by our breakfast area. It was 1968, the year this album came out. It piped music into all 4 of our upstairs bedrooms! Way too posh for our modest family, but the seller was desperate & my grandmum had contributed some money from an inheritance. Thus, I came here 30 months ago to find the music that came through those speakers. Now I've built a library of 800 playlists like the one you see linked here! chuck

@afontin Geoff Love has been pushing up daisies since 1991! He was born in 1917. Have loved the 'beautiful music' format since I was a child. My 550 music playlists are a tribute to this format above all others with over 30 artists in this genre. Interesting this is from 1968, the year dad bought a house with built in stereo - speakers in each bedroom & this music FILLED the house, literally! I've got playlists for every year since 1900, playing all genres together, like old-time radio! chuck
