from what i understand andy has a christian background. This song is about him losing his faith. Due to alcohol and the party lifestyle. Desperately trying to gain faith back. He's done with "funeral". He is saying the party lifestyle is over for now. He says it time and time again... he always goes back. I may be wrong but i know how this goes and i can relate.

I don't think this is a song that was meant to be translated to acoustic. It's a beautiful song, but it's missing the power, passion and anger of the album version. I love the band, but I don't like this version of the song.
