I own and claim no rights, this is posted so people can learn about this great artist. In the 70s his albums featured some of the best musicians of the day and "Some People Can Do What They Like" (which this track is from) is no exception, with a bunch of the guys from Little Feat and other top players in the credits.

It seems pretty clear this is the basis for the Grateful Dead's version of this song.

I loved this man. loved hanging out with him. Great musician, but he wan't that great live and it made me sad...Sneaking Sally through that alley, RIP Robert, I loved you then and I still love you so very much.

Palmer did a lot of studio sessions with Lowell George and little feat, one day Palmer told LG he was going to record this track and LG told him you're crazy this song is what Ricky Ricardo would sing to Lucy back in the day, but Palmer told him not only am I gonna sing it, I'm gonna nail it and he did.
