You need to update your tab for this song, you're playing something completely different than what is on there

Howdy Jdarks! Thanks for the great salute you make to Bob Weir and the country element he brings to the band. Sure we all love something else more. Some aspect of the Dead comes to mind before "Cowboy Bob" does. Yeah me and my Dead friends will even jab him about it; the fact is that it becomes a gateway for listeners. Without that it just wouldn't be THE DEAD, Without it I'd never have turned on so many people to the joy the group can bring. JDarks, thanks for making the sun shine!

@LOVEMPIRE666 Sure dude. Go watch the Morning Dew from September 18, 1987 at the Garden, then go listen to the 77 boston garden Music never Stopped. Then, go and listen to the Scarlet>Fire off of So Many Roads. Pretty sure those beat out every solo you can come up with for Innovation. And saying that Jerry had slow hands? Pffft. Dude, Garcia had been, and always was a Banjo Picker. slow hands my ass.

all im sayin is that i think jerry is more musical just my opinion and when did i ever mention beethoven. look any one can play fast but making up fast licks that make sense is something else

besides kerry king, jeff hanneman, and kirk hammett just ,made noise i think jerry was 10 times more musical than they ever were or will be

well just listen to the way he does those almost silent phrases and the way he chose to play changes are unlike anyone elese. I had listened to jerry religiously for a while then got into jazz and listened to a lot of joe pass and didnt listen to jerry for almost two years, anyway.. when i went back and listened to jerry i was surpirsed at how much jazz was in his playing and phrasing...i guess its really just my opinion but i guess you could call inovative or unique either way he was good.

ha have you ever listened to jerry if you want i can point out a handful of reasons why he was inovative.

Great instructions. I had not heard Jerry's version. Love the chicken pickin in Merle's version but Jerry's licks are killer too. Our band is doing this classic so I may borrow some of Jerry's licks and integrate them into our version. Thanks for taking the time.
