Weren't The Adicts still in the Nuclear Sockets back then? Major Accident came from Darlington, County Durham, and were playing The Speedwell as early as 1980/81 - they got their big break about 1982 when Step Forward put them on a UK nationwide tour with CHELSEA and Massacred Melodies was put out. The band had already paid for it so it didn't cost Miles Copeland much to give it a wider distribution network.
