Notice anything about they're lyrics? First, they're german. Second, they sing about Valhalla, Odin, Thor, Battlecries, Wars, Swords, Crowns, Ice, Sleipnir...They are neither of what you said, and they do not belive in the Northern gods either, as far as I think, even if they sing about them.
