Magnum - Before First Light. This great upbeat ballad was taken from Magnums 5th studio LP - 'On a Storytellers Night' and recorded at the Abattoir Studios, Birmingham, England in 1985. Storytellers Night was a fantastic album. Magnum had a fair bit of success with the LP and this led to an appearance on Top Of The Pops! This is one of my favourite tracks on the album and I feel got overlooked somewhat amongst the plethora of other excellent tracks on the same LP. I have no copyright on the song or pictures.

This rocks big time. And I mean BIG TIME!!! Magnum is most obviously my most important discovery of this year. Magnum is more than that, Magnum is a revelation, an eye-opener. It's unbelievable to find new favourite bands after having lived 23 years in the world of rock and after over 1000 albums...it all goes to show that rock music is an endless source of power and inspiration, there are countless great bands out there just waiting to be discovered for the first time...The journey goes on...13 years ago
