I love The Magnetic Fields, I just think it's a shame that he doesn't belt it with the vocals at the end like Bowie does.

Is that 'Kings' (Wayward Bus) playing in the back? or at least the same patch used in Kings

I thought MF alrady did a version of "Heroes" - called it "Desert Island"...

I really like the Magnetic Fields...but this cover does absolutely nothing for me...bland and characterless...I would much rather listen to their own excellent music!

Stephin Merritt could probably cover every song ever recorded, and make a version that is at least as good, if not better than the original. A modern time genious, both musically and lyrically! May he always keep on producing!

Fantastic cover but I would maybe have liked to hear eno's part come through a bit more distinctly.

Bowie won't die, he'll fly back into space and re-assume his true identity as Ziggy Stardust.

for bowie, as i recall, he and brian eno took cards with notes on them and turned them upside down, drew then randomly, and that was the bassi of the chords.
