If you never lived the blues, you can't sing it, feel or even under stand where it comes from. It comes from deep down in your soul. When an artist sings the blues you know that he really feels what he is singing. When they sing the blues, I can feel where they are coming from. You feel the hurt, the pain, and the sadness.

I have never heard of this guy until tonight. I was flipping through Acoustic Sounds catalog. This is some of the most amazing stuff I've ever heard. Got goose bumps from the jump.

oh , and least I forget ,ELVIS also covers it , suprisingly enough he slows the tempo down quite a bit from other versions but delivers it as only the king could....

Great tune, covered by some awsome artists over the years , the first recording was in 1959 by Roscoe Gorden.Rory Gallagher does a fantastic guitar virtuoso version as only he could ,but near as I can tell,Slade nicks the Undertakers versiion of 1965, I beleive. Even Etta James covers it,I always thought it was one of Slades rawest covers, and went perfect along side Don't Blame Me or Get Down and Get With It,two other great Slade songs played with thr same vigor...keep on rockin ...

Yes I agree great song. I always wondered what the original sounded like because I first heard it back in 74 on Slade's Old New Borrowed And Blue album, Brilliant! I suspect this is not the original, as good as it is? please correct me if I am wrong or point me to the original. Many thanks.
