I remember when I constructed a full length track of this tune based on the 30 seconds snippet... by intuition, except for the bridge, I managed to have almost the same arrangement. This causes a lot of controversy back in time of the snippet-leaks (2008/9). Someone used my track and mixed with the fake demo, causing a disaster. I recorded first vocals with a false-voice (in fact a kind of flageolet to reach some Madonna timbre I never had but I strangely believed in it) and later on with my own chest voice (so an octave lower). After hearing Madonna's version in full, I have to say I'm hugely disappointed with the result and very glad she didn't included on an album (except the fact that some of the frasing/melody was used later on the track "your honesty" which also didn't do that much). So the most interesting story about this song was the controversy caused because I ruffled the feathers of some... Cheers!

At the time there was a huge rumour that Madonna was driving around Central Park in New York picking up black guys for casual sex, I think it was her way of laughing at these silly stories and I love it would not remove any tracks from Erotica, it is still my favourite album but I would love a version with the rain tapes added. Looking forward to "Rebel Heart" Go Madonna

You know Madonna was operating at the very peak of her powers - and her balls were hanging at their very lowest - that she could drop her all-time masterwork LP and could afford to disinclude these two tracks in the final lineup.
