the song itself its a masterpiece. Adam Lambert has a nice voice but he did not sing this song perfectly. However, the man is a performer. He put up a great performance of this song

Oh god, this is so corny and melodramatic. I understand that American Idol is just a soulless meat grinder that searches for "technical" proficiency in singers, but the guy could at least attempt some sort of emotional investment in the song without resorting to gimmicky theatrics to please the plebeians.
