This entire album is a love letter to rock music as a whole. This album takes psychadelic, grunge, even jazz rock with "Long Gone Day". I think that's what makes "Above" so special; you really get the sense that all parties involved just fucking LOVE rock music. It's awesome, and I miss Layne so much.
