I don't think it really matters what came first, I love it all. Well not all of it but a lot of it. The one thing I don't like about breaking all this great music up into sub-genre's is that when I choice a certain genre on my IPod like 3rd Wave Revival, I won't get bands like The Specials (Two Tone) or "The King of Ska" Desmond Dekker, so what I did was just simplify my genre's so I can enjoy more music without fighting the machine. So peace and enjoy whats given to us, however you call it.

I have to say thats wrong. in Jamica was first something like jazz then ska. see saktalites, and then came raggea.

Well Ska came from Reggea, You Had Reggea in Jamica and from that came 2 Tone Ska about 10 years later in England [one of the few things that makes me proud to be british], then 3rd Wave Ska sprouted from that in the round about mid 90s In America
