One of my favourite anime TV series intro songs and still rocks to this day. Will always love the anime of the 80s and 90s which I considered to be the best of my generation. :-)

The opening music was the best part of this anime series/movie version.  I think that although the animation an story was sort of a let down compared to the actual movie that came prior - deviated too much from the original storyline.  Perhaps that was intended but in my opinion it didn't improve it being watchable.  The voice acting was horrible.  A lot of things didn't make sense an the final ending of the series/movie was too similar to the previous movie as a resolution to its ending.  I don't want to seem to harsh a critic there were good scenes but not done enough it just seemed like a typical kid movie lowering a standard to the maturity of the first movie it was based on [The movie not the TV series].

I remember like it was yesterday when they pre-screened Macross II Lovers Again at Anime Expo 92. Mikimoto-sensei was there and it was a great time. Soon as I got home I ordered this single from Laser Perceptions in San Fran. If you were one of the 1,100 people there, thumbs up!

If it's not canon to the official timeline, then it's belong to the Macross : DYRL movie timeline. Since the movie of 1st Macross series deviated from the tv series' storyline(ie. finding the sunken protoculture city island, the early death of Earth's population, singing of the movie's title song, Roy's death, and the resolution of the love triangle of Hikaru, Misa, and Minmei).

Macross II, which was created without the consent of the original creators and subjected the original series to a great deal of Flanderization. No wonder it has been made non-canon in the official timeline.

Most language pairs have quite a few words like that. Differing vocabulary isn't just different sounds for the same thing, it also involves entirely different philosophies on organizing concepts.

Pretty sure those aren't the lyrics I've seen part of the English lyrics and they don't match.
