Did you even listen to the song? Thrift shop is 1: pretty obviously a song that mack wrote for fun and 2: not about shopping at a thrift store, its about how money doesn't make the person and that you can be "fly" and "sick" even with cheap clothes you picked up for a couple bucks because its about who you are and not what you wear.

I totally agree. The Language of My World was a classic concept album filled with many important relevant tracks. But concept, I can't emphasize enough, whether you want to look at White Privilege, Hold Your Head Up, Inhale Deep, I Said Hey, City Don't Sleep or Love Song ..so many classic tracks filled with a jazzy melody
