Dude the gibsons are a lot better for rock than you'd think. I friggen have a gibson Sg special and that is lower end 1200$ It plays like the wind and dude the les paul standard is amazing I use jacksons for metal only cause of the different style personally gibson>jackson>every other guitar brand

The Gibson argument is, in relation to this particular performance, invalid, for Robb is not playing a Gibson, it's actually his ESP prototype, but he changed the truss rod cover to Gibson when he got the endorsement, so now he uses his Epiphone/Gibson signature, as well as the black and white ESP in this video, he just changed the cover, i'm assuming, to match his endorsement and to retain his ability to play it live.
