The original is ALWAYS better than a cover. Machine head suck. At least they know who Poison Idea are as most of you on here don't even know who the band is. Do some research. Poison Idea are a top notch hardcore punk band I've seen them 50 times plus since I'm from Portland. Machine head and Pantera both can suck dick. Pig Champion is one of the best guitarist ever. Fuck off haters.

Good choice for a cover but they didn't do anything with this. It's a little too fast and that takes away from the power of the song. Plus the fact that Machine Head didn't know Alan the one who self immolated means they couldn't possibly understand the weight of the subject of the lyrics. Seeing PI play this live was also so incredible makes me think Machine Head should have left this alone.

Fuck all fo you that think this is better than the original. Nothing against Machine head but the vocals blow so no power god it sucks. I wish you all didn't suck so bad but I guess I am alone.

@Amine Stonedeadforever "Someone is trying to copy Pantera?"Poison Idea started in 1980 and never changed their sound, Pantera were a glam band in 1981 and started doing heavier music in 1992Machine this 1990's Poison Idea track to the letter meaning they were not "trying to be" Pantera but rather Pantera were influenced by Poison Idea as well as Exhorder.

I first saw these guys with Napalm Death, they did a Cro-Mags cover, and killed it. This one does great justice to one of the world's most underrated bands of all time. POISON FUCKIN' IDEA!!!

the original is waaaaaaaaay better... production and sound are much tighter, guitars and drums are more powerful, vocals I won`t even compare, and the atmosphere of the original as a whole is much darker and effective than here... this is just a mediocre cover, not bad, but nothing special as well

Don't like to respond to old posts, but here - goes I got this bonus track on a "digi" pack of Burn My Eyes, it was the last track on that album - lost the CD and haven't heard this song for years - awesome!
