are you sure he was intoxicated? I swear the way he looks when he plays live it seems like he's always on somethin ahah. I think maybe he just has this strange look and feel about him. Kinda like Tom Waits, accept Tom Waits actually WAS always intoxicated lol

i have been listening to all kinds of music for almost forty years and always pay homage to excellent artists and can without a doubt of any kind...say that m. ward is as GREAT as IF NOT BETTER THAN dylan....he is a radical, brilliant departure from all the drivel that passes as `popular' music these days and sadly will never be recognized for his musical genius.

Yeah, it definitely is. You can hear him start to sing "it's one in the morning..." at the beginning. I wonder if he started playing the wrong song and just decided to try to make it work, or if he knew that the lyrics were interchangeable ahead of time.
