would be nice if she could stay on pitch. No diffrent enough from the original to be worth anthing. Amazing how many versions of this out there. Check out the THIN WITH ROPE & VANILL FUDGE versions. Way better than this workmanlike performace....

YES. Fucking beautiful beautiful, amazing. Today's such a shit day. My birthday, and my ex-girlfriend is calling me for help with heroin destroying her life. I can't deal with it. Fucking devastated. Love is dissolving into agony I can't stand it. Please don't do heroin. It's a shit drug and it destroys lives. It's not romantic and it's not sexy.

I love this version, the Lee Hazelwood /Nancy Sintra is good, but this one is my favorite. I would love to see another with Lana Del Rey on female vocal she's got that edgy creepy sound. Del Rey did a really good remake of "Summer Wine" did not like the male vocal however on that one. Love Rowland too!

Rowland S Howard was never trying to sound like Nick Cave. He started in bands around the same time as Nick, and if you dig up some of his earlier music where he is on vocals (try The Young Charlatans, Shivers) you will see that his blunt, soul piercing voice, had already developed, long before Mr Cave's had. I took Nick several re-incarnations before he found his true voice. Rowland wasn’t trying to be like anyone, he was truly unique, that’s why he is called a musical legend.
