I KNOW SOME LYRICS ARE INCORRECT. I made these videos before the album was even out and wanted to share them with people as fast as I could because the songs were so good, but just enjoy the music that's why the they made it! I hope it helps you as much as it helps me. Macklemore fan since 2010 but I'm happy this album helped him make it "big-time". I KNOW THAT SOME LYRICS ARE INCORRECT. I made all of these videos before the album was even released, so I wanted to get them done and share them with people as fast as I could. Just enjoy the music anyways! I've been a Macklemore fan since 2010, and it's amazing to see how far he's come since then, make sure to listen to "The Language of My World", "The VS EP", and "Open Your Eyes" after your done with The Heist.

Yea... i dont know about all of u, but this song definitly is now my number 1.IMO this song alone sums up the struggles of the youth of society and the burdens which they carry.

Past, present, and future tense, Lupe rocks it all like he understands and demonstrates form and function. Shit makes me want to write! Every track is a flow of thought and that is real poetry.

you know its kind of hard to see the lyrics when you fucking blow up the slide so far that half the damn words go off screen.sort of defeats the purpose of making a lyric video

Do you really think Tupac was a better man than Gandhi or King? Tupac doesn't even land in the same zip code as those two, especially Gandhi! Gandhi just may be the most influential person in the world, and tupac? "I fucked your bitch"...he is a great rapper, not a lyricist. Ad yes he is overrated, if he hadn't died he would get near the amount of respect he gets, and Slim Shady/ Lupe would STILL be the best in the biz

Lupe does look up to Pac, he's stated this before, but he also views Nas as the greatest, which I honestly believe is true. I'm a big Pac fan, but he didn't create rap like Rakim and Nas did. If we didn't have Nas, there wouldn't be Lupe, and if we didn't have Rakim, there wouldn't be Nas.

You speak as if you knew him Personally. The fact is he did practice what he Preached, Mabye not at every point in his life but the truth is People grow and learn from their mistakes, that is another message he portrayed. He was Obviously far more clever than you are aware, because He rose from practically nothing to an Icon to Millions. Everyone has they're own path, Own style, Own Views. The fact that you dont Understand why he is looked up to, Proves only you don't understand Him period.

If he never practiced what he project, authentically he wasn't made to be that person. At least he aware us how deceitful is the world. Hey You: What have you done for world? Have you been a better activist than he is? anhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! then stop putting label on people.

2PAC was famous for creating timeless songs like Dear Mama, Changes, Thugz Mansion, keep ya head up, and Pain, Pac was not the best lyricist honestly, not even in the top 5 all time (NAS) BUT he was a street poet who told the public about his life, and the realities of the ghetto, and about being more than just a "crook in the streets" something that many rappers refused, or didn't care to do. He was NOT perfect, but saying he isn't ONE of the greatest hip hop artist of all time is blasphemy.
