The title of the song is American Terrorist. This part is drawing comparisons between a rejected super hero, and the U.S. Military... Last Verse explanation: The older hero(veteran) realizes that the military themselves are terrorists. But when he tries explaining to the general public that what the U.S. Military isn't right(killing innocent civilians in Afghanistan etc.) The patriotic people call for his death. The older hero gets upset and wants to kill the people for thinking this way, but before he can, a younger hero(current soldier) takes the responsibility of protecting these people from terrorism. The older hero says that by protecting them from terrorism(bombing terrorists in Afghanistan) he instead is only increasing the danger, because the collateral damage, and innocent lives being taken in these drone strikes are giving the people of Afghanistan a reason to become terrorists in the first place. Terrorists against America will always exist as long as we are killing civilians. The U.S. Military is the root of terrorism. American Terrorists.
