Band:Lumsk

Song:Godnat Herinde

Album:Det vilde kor

Lyric:

Nu ruger Nat over Enge

og alt i Mørke forgaar.

Jeg lytter her fra min Rude,

det tier saa tomt derude,

det er som naar Klokken staar.

Da hører jeg Røster kalde

som op fra en Huldreby.

Jeg ved det er mig de vil finde.

Godnat da I to herinde!

Jeg kommer igen ved Gry.

Saa gik jeg mig ud i Natten

og droges saa sælsomt hen.

Gud naade hver Far og Mage

som vel fandt sin Vej tilbage,

men aldrig kom helt igen!

Så fantastiskt vackert. Hamsun har så god hand med orden. Lumsk är perfekt för att sätta musik till hans verk.

@WolfieboyMachi and really full of misterious energy. Think I like it.

@SymphonicFreak1 Hope you like it. :) It's not really a band, though. It's a one man project.

@WolfieboyMachi I don'teven know them, but thanks, I'm gonna try

SYNDICAIDRAMON

@billsdestiny The lyrics are written in Dano-Norwegian, however the pronounciations are mostly in Bokmål. That's how it sounds to me anyways.

@SymphonicFreak1 Ever listened to Wardruna? You should give it a try.

wow, this is the first non-black metal influenced norwegian band I've heard, an it's really awesome

@norsatyr I like how all the nouns are capitalized like in German. that makes it a lot easier to read for those who don't know the language well.

@h1zchan It is Riksmål, that's true. Was used in Norway from around 1890 to 1917 ish, officially, and was replaced by Bokmål in 1929. But was still used by some people up until, well, still now you can find people that swear to Riksmål. I personally still like it.

Someone told me that in Hamsun's time the dominant writing standard of the Norwegian language was called Riksmål.

@billsdestiny I might be wrong, but I think it's Dano-Norwegian. (You can look it up on Wikipedia.)

is this Norwegian – Bokmål? Or some other dialect? I don;t speak Norwegian but I noticed some words are slightly different from what I thought they were.

@MetalHealth1 I've found an Italian translation which is even better for me, but thank you, though ^^
