Ya know, after a while from not seeing/listening to this cover, I kinda like the sound. The China was a bit funky and snare sounds very "roomy" but it sounds pretty good. I don't know why we were all freaking out about before lol

The snare is the only thing that sounds a little bit funny. Other than that, Luke is an absolutely insane player. The snare sounds too dull in my opinion. Its not snappy enough, but to each his own =]

Does luke change his heads all the time? Because I rarely see the stick marks that I generally produce when hitting a snare or toms after a period of time. Or is this a mistake on my part?

To everyone that is complaining that his kit is all sampled and it's not actually the tone of his kit or he's not as impressive because he isn't using raw tones so it makes him look like a weak player, you're wrong and here's why. samples are made by taking a natural drum tone and editing the drum tone in the studio to as perfect as you can get it then you can sell them or use them for your own material, that's how you get samples. And some producers will actually take the kits raw tone and make a sample with each drum voice and lay it over the audio signal so you get clear crisp tone every time the drum is struck, because if you hit the head at the just slightest different angle or hit it just slightly less hard than your previous strike the tone will sound different and I garuntee you there are people out there that have an ear that can pick up on that, it's just so everything sounds good, same thing with triggering a kick drum. If you ever took classic percussion lessons, one thing they teach you for when you play faster that you have to lower your stick height so it all comes out smooth and clear, but you want every stroke to have the same amount of power which is extremely difficult no matter who you are.
