Alphabet Killer è il nome attribuito dai mass media statunitensi ad un assassino attivo a Rochester dal 1971 al 1973, colpevole di tre omicidi.

La catena di omicidi fu denominata Alphabet murders e nel mondo giornalistico double initial murders, ciò perché ciascuna delle tre vittime aveva le stesse iniziali di nome e cognome e seguendo l'ordine ognuna fu ritrovata in città con la stessa lettera di partenza (Carmen Colon a Churchville, Wanda Walkowicz a Webster, Michelle Maenza a Macedon).

Le vittime furono:

Carmen Colon, un'undicenne scomparsa il 16 novembre 1971 e ritrovata morta due giorni dopo presso Churchville (a sei miglia di distanza).

Wanda Walkowicz, un'undicenne scomparsa il 2 aprile 1973 e ritrovata deceduta il giorno seguente alla State Route 104 di Webster, sette miglia da Rochester.

Michelle Maenza, una ragazza di dieci anni scomparsa il 26 novembre 1973 e ritrovata due giorni dopo a Macedon, quindici miglia da Rochester.

The so-called "Alphabet murders" (also known as the "double initial murders") took place in the early 1970s in the Rochester, New York area; three young girls were attacked sexually and strangled. The case got its name from the fact that each of the three girls' first and last names started with the same letters (Carmen Colon, Wanda Walkowicz, and Michelle Maenza) and that the bodies were found in towns that started with the same letter as the girls' names (Colon in Churchville, Walkowicz in Webster and Maenza in Macedon).

Carmen Colon, 11, disappeared November 16, 1971. She was found two days later in Churchville, 12 miles from where she was last seen.

Wanda Walkowicz, 11, disappeared April 2, 1973. She was found the next day at a rest area off State Route 104, seven miles from Rochester.

Michelle Maenza, 10, disappeared November 26, 1973. She was found two days later in Macedon, 15 miles from Rochester.
