Lowkey's first studio album, "Dear Listener" (Vol. 1) arrived a couple of weeks ago and has proved just as promising as his mixtapes. The guy deserves commendation for his integrity, lyricism and inventiveness, and here's hoping he will get it.
"The Essence" is one of my favourite tracks off the album, charting the best qualities hip-hop has to offer, in contrast to the squalid use it is put to by modern-day mainstream drivel.
