Kris Kristofferson originally wrote this song as "Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)." Willie Nelson later sang it (as a duet with Dyan Cannon) with the title I use and the overall more positive slant, which suits me better now. (I've also gender-reversed it.)
