One of my part-time jobs back in the day when Loverboy hit the airwaves and "saved the music scene" (in my opinion: I grew up in the late 60s and 70s) was working at "Records Unlimited." The store manager would sign off on the delivery of all these new vinyl LPs and when he saw one he liked, would peel off the cellophane and declare: "STORE COPY!" My introduction to this Loverboy LP happened during one of those rituals. I wonder what they are doing today? Peace, Love & Best to all you "old 80s" music fanatics - stay fanatical and crazy about this music!

At my Grade 9 Valentine's dance, the DJ threw a frisbee out....and I grabbed it. He gave me this album. It had just come out and it quickly became one of my favourites. I still have the vinyl album. Great memories.

I met Paul Dean at a little-known Clinic he appeared for in Ypsi and asked him how he got the opening line of this song to sound so 'soaring'. He told me a story about a guitar that had a piece of the 'skunk stripe' between the 10th and 12th fret missing which got 'that sound', now that I make guitars I wonder about "that little hollow" there- and every time I hear this song I'm reminded...
